Role overview
Support the build and operation of a CI environment for Airlines on a new MFG test asset - running automated test runs against physical hardware for either the GA line or FRU re-bringup flow, validating test content and catching regressions before they hit production.
Responsibilities
- check_circle Assemble/wire the rig
- check_circle Deploy Firmware & test configs
- check_circle Configure and run test suites continuously
- check_circle Monitor and document runs
- check_circle First-pass failure triage and routing
- check_circle Write/maintain test-run scripts while documenting set-up and roadblocks
- check_circle Provide status updates during campaigns
Basic qualifications
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a closely related field
- Available to commit to a minimum three-month assignment
- Able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Able to work on-site at one of our office locations
- Must adhere with Zoox confidentiality requirements, including refraining from using or sharing proprietary company information outside of Zoox, such as in academic research, theses, publications, or presentations
Preferred qualifications
- Proficient with Linux/CLI
- Strong programming skills in Python and Git
- Hands-on hardware/lab skills (schematics, wiring, instruments)
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complexity and ambiguity clearly
Benefits
- check_circle Compensation for this role is $30/hour.
- check_circle This is a contract position; employment will be through a vendor contracted with Zoox. The hourly rate is as posted, and benefits eligibility is determined by the vendor.
