AI Engineer
Role overview
We're turning Alasco into the leading agentic AI platform for real estate. Picture a project developer opening their dashboard and seeing at a glance whether their budget will hold in three months, because an autonomous agent in the background is running complex forecasts and flagging anomalies. You build that moment.
From the first idea to the metric that tells you whether it worked. You build the AI core features of our financial management product: orchestrating agent harness systems, writing evals that keep our models reliable in a finance-critical domain.
You own the full lifecycle: from rapid prototyping through context engineering to Observability.
Responsibilities
- check_circle Own agentic workflows end to end: you build autonomous systems that take on complex tasks.
- check_circle Establish eval-driven development: you build evaluation frameworks and ground-truth sets that make agent reliability measurable and catch regressions before they reach production.
- check_circle Work across our AI product areas: dashboards, reporting, valuations, and planning within financial management, depending on what the team is prioritizing.
- check_circle Handle LLM ops and observability: you implement tracing (e.g. Langfuse) and monitoring to catch hallucinations and scale reliability.
- check_circle Talk to customers: whenever a direct conversation leads to a better decision, whether with customers or internal stakeholders.
- check_circle Name trade-offs directly: on time, cost, UX, or quality, you say it out loud instead of staying quiet.
- check_circle Real product software experience: you've built software that actual users rely on, ideally with TypeScript and Python.
- check_circle A deep understanding of LLM infrastructure: you've worked with agent architectures and systematic prompt design.
- check_circle Expertise in context and data engineering: you know how to prepare unstructured data and use context windows efficiently, cutting noise and maximizing relevance.
- check_circle Confidence in an existing codebase: you debug, refactor, and review your own code and other people's without hesitation.
- check_circle A deliberate approach to AI coding tools: you use them regularly and can explain what you hand off to the tool and what you check yourself.
- check_circle Fluent German and English: you communicate confidently in both languages day to Day.
- check_circle Your success pays off: with our VSOP, you share in Alasco's long-term success. When we grow together, you win too.
- check_circle Hybrid working model: 2 days in our Munich office, 3 days remote.
- check_circle Invest in your strongest asset, yourself: €2,000 learning and development budget per year plus three L&D days. Whether you're refining your prompt design or picking up something new, you decide.
- check_circle AI is part of the craft here, not the roadmap: you work with tools that give you back real time for the work that matters.
- check_circle Time that's yours alone: 28 vacation days a year, so you can switch off between ambitious goals.
- check_circle Your day, your allowance: €40 a month for Navit or Wellpass, for the ride to the office or a workout after hours.
- check_circle We celebrate wins together: Alascians come together at company and team events. Not because it's on the calendar, but because strong teams share more than numbers.
