Software Engineer II, AI Transformation
Responsibilities
- check_circle Build AI-powered application features end-to-end—from design and implementation through deployment and production support—partnering with senior engineers on architecture and on generalizing solutions into reusable platform components.
- check_circle Contribute to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production readiness, working alongside senior engineers and the DevOps team.
- check_circle Develop and maintain user interfaces using React.
- check_circle Build and consume REST APIs using Node.js with TypeScript.
- check_circle Implement data models and access patterns, and efficiently consuming data from existing data-processing services and relational databases (AWS Aurora).
- check_circle Iterating quickly on early-stage features, balancing speed of exploration with engineering quality.
- check_circle Actively leverage agentic development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) across the full SDLC—from spec-driven design and code generation to testing, documentation, and deployment—continuously optimizing workflows for speed, quality, and token efficiency.
- check_circle Build and extend agentic AI workflows and multi-agent systems that automate complex processes, contributing to reusable components that enable stakeholders to self-serve.
- check_circle Help identify and address technical debt and scalability bottlenecks, raising architectural risks to the team.
- check_circle Contribute to quality end-to-end—leveraging agentic QA systems that continuously validate features and catch regressions, complemented by unit tests, integration tests, and strong engineering standards.
- check_circle Debugging issues systematically across the full stack, including live production environments.
- check_circle Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers while also partnering directly with stakeholders—helping distill requirements, validating solutions through rapid prototyping, and iterating based on real user feedback.
- check_circle Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- check_circle 2+ years of experience building backend systems with Node.js and TypeScript.
- check_circle 2+ years of experience with modern front-end frameworks, specifically React.
- check_circle Working exposure to microservices and service-oriented architectures.
- check_circle Solid understanding of data models and access patterns for data-intensive applications.
- check_circle Experience working with relational databases — comfortable navigating non-trivial schemas, writing efficient queries, and reasoning about data relationships.
- check_circle Comfortable working in a mixed environment — maintaining and evolving established products while also building new services and capabilities on top of them.
- check_circle Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and production operations — enough to work effectively alongside a DevOps team.
- check_circle Exposure to Docker and container orchestration (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes).
- check_circle A demonstrated habit of writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
- check_circle Fluent (or actively progressing) in agentic development—you understand how to prompt and plan with AI agents using techniques like spec-driven design, know how to steer and course-correct agent behavior, and have experience creating and managing multi-agent workflows.
- check_circle Hands-on experience with agentic development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code, with a working understanding of how to optimize token usage and maximize output quality.
- check_circle Comfortable contributing across the full SDLC—from requirements gathering through deployment and production support—including using agentic QA systems to maintain quality at speed.
- check_circle A consultative mindset and comfort working directly with business stakeholders and internal customers—able to listen carefully, help distill ambiguous requirements into actionable specs, validate ideas through rapid iteration, and adjust course based on feedback.
Preferred qualifications
