Quality Technician
In this role, you will:
- Perform in line quality inspections in General Assembly and End of Line
- Read technical drawings in CAD to understand part design and intended assembly
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to facilitate triage and root cause analysis
- Validate approved Reworks completed by Repair team meet Zoox's high quality standards
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering to identify and communicate trends
- Create and update quality documents
- Develop training plans for inspection, quality standards, and quality alerts
- Facilitate Factory Gate process by verifying quality documentation
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a quality technician
- Ability to look up and read technical specifications in CAD
- Broad technical background in mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience with triage, Root cause analysis and implementing containments
- Ability to read PFMEA, Control Plans and inspection documents
Bonus Qualifications:
- A.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 7+ years of technician experience in high volume automotive manufacturing
- Experience with MES, SAP, Ignition Systems
- Basic understanding of GD&T principles
- Experience interpreting Metrology reports
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
