The Imaging and Sensing group at Apple develops vision and depth sensing systems coupled with neural networks to power features such as Face ID, Cinematic Video, Arkit Lidar, Facetime blur and many others . This multi-disciplinary group of engineers is responsible for and heavily involved in research, architecture, design, and development of current and future Apple products and technologies. Within the Imaging and Sensing group, the Apple Depth Prototyping and Technology team is looking for an extraordinary computer vision and autonomous systems researcher to explore, invent and drive innovative technologies for future Apple products. As part of the team you will work in an interdisciplinary environment that combines expertise in neural network training and infrastructure, image processing, computational geometry, computer vision, deep learning, optics and mechanics. Our close-knit team fosters an environment of product innovation, rapid product iteration and collaboration at both team and multi-functional levels with a liberating amount of engineering autonomy. We are looking for a creative and dedicated Applied Researcher, with proven experience in stereo-vision and related depth technologies, robotic path planning and localization, multi-camera calibration, optimization and deep learning. As a member of a fast-paced team, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape upcoming products that will delight and inspire millions of people every day.
