Your Role:


As the Senior Power Electronics Modeling Engineer, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to accelerate the delivery of quality FF products to consumer markets. You will contribute to successful launch of current and future FF vehicles with efficient, powerful, and reliable propulsion systems. Your responsibilities include



  • Developing simulation model to analyze voltage quality and harmonics of high-voltage power system including HV battery, Inverters, Electric Motors, DCDC Converter, On-Board Charger, and HV Thermal Loads

  • Detailed modeling and simulation of inverter-motor including control algorithm used in the model.

  • Deriving model of power electronic converters based on schematics or by experiment

  • Developing simulation model to analyze vehicle charging behavior for AC and DC charging

  • Leading and supporting test activities to verify the developed models

  • Involvement in the design of vehicular power electronics for future vehicle programs (new hardware architectures, components sizing, and controls)

  • Supporting Functional Safety activities at propulsion system level in alignment to ISO26262


Basic Qualifications:



  • Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related fields

  • 2 years of relevant experience

  • Solid analytical skill in power electronic devices, circuits, and controls

  • Proven knowledge + expertise, and passion for vehicular power electronics including batteries, electric motor, drives, power electronics, and HV components

  • Strong familiarity with propulsion system modeling and system control algorithm


Preferred Qualifications:



  • PhD in Electrical Engineering

  • Proven capability of conducting high-quality research and development

  • Hands-on experience in high-voltage hardware and software development

  • Understanding of EV propulsion system including propulsion system architectures, modeling and simulation, controls and calibrations, and interface development

  • Familiar with EV drivetrain system engineering

  • Knowledge in functional safety analysis and ISO26262 for EV propulsion system
